John Sinnenberg — Partner

Mr. Sinnenberg is Chairman and a founding member of Cyprium Partners. Prior to forming Cyprium, he was CEO and the Managing Partner for Key Principal Partners (KPP). Prior to KPP, he co-founded Key Mezzanine Capital Fund I, L.P., the predecessor group to Key Principal Partners. Prior thereto, Mr. Sinnenberg founded Regis Capital Partners, L.P., a private investment firm for wealthy families. Mr. Sinnenberg also previously worked at The Barclays Group, where he co-founded BZW’s Mezzanine Capital Group, which began operations in 1989. He has also served in a variety of investment banking, trading and senior lending functions with BZW and Bankers Trust Company. In addition to several board roles on behalf of Cyprium Partners, Mr. Sinnenberg also serves on the board of The Edwins Foundation and Friends of Breakthrough Charter Schools. Mr. Sinnenberg received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School and a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University.

Cindy Babitt — Partner

Ms. Babitt is a founding member of Cyprium Partners. Prior to forming Cyprium, she was a partner at Key Principal Partners (KPP). She joined KPP in 1998 from Carleton, McCreary, Holmes & Co., a Cleveland-based investment banking firm. Ms. Babitt spent three years at CMH with a primary focus on industry research, financial analysis, buy and sell side transactions and valuation for public and private companies. Prior thereto, Ms. Babitt worked as a laboratory technician for Seibert Powder Coatings and as a statistician for the University Hospitals of Cleveland. Ms. Babitt received her M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and her B.S. in Biology from the University of Miami.

Beth Haas — Partner

Ms. Haas joined Cyprium Partners from Key Principal Partners (KPP). She joined KPP from KeyBanc Capital Markets where she was an Associate in the Investment Banking division. Ms. Haas was actively involved in the completion of a variety of corporate finance transactions, including private equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and fairness opinions. Previously, she served as an analyst at Carleton, McCreary, Holmes & Co. where she was responsible for research and financial analysis in support of middle market mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Haas received her B.A. degree in Government with honors from Dartmouth College and received her M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel Kessler — Partner

Mr. Kessler joined Cyprium Partners from Key Principal Partners (KPP). Prior to KPP he was with GlobalStreams, Inc., a developer of streaming media management software where he served as Vice President. Previously, Mr. Kessler spent five years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, most recently as Manager in the M&A Transaction Services group, where he managed project teams conducting financial and operational due diligence and post-acquisition integration consulting. Mr. Kessler received his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University, his M.B.A with high honors from the University of Chicago, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Drew Molinari — Principal

Mr. Molinari joined Cyprium Partners from Key Principal Partners (KPP). He joined KPP from Agilysys, Inc., a provider of IT solutions with expertise in the retail and hospitality markets, where he served as an Associate in the corporate development group. While at Agilysys, Mr. Molinari was responsible for the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, including financial analysis and modeling, coordination of due diligence procedures and post-closing integration. Prior to Agilysys, Mr. Molinari was an Analyst for Croft & Bender and Brown, Gibbons Lang & Co., both of which are middle market investment banks focused on M&A and capital raising transactions. Mr. Molinari received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his B.B.A. in Finance with honors from Kent State University.

Jeff Lakarosky — Vice President

Mr. Lakarosky joined Cyprium Partners from KeyBanc Capital Markets. As a Vice President in the Industrial Investment Banking group, Mr. Lakarosky focused on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance and private capital transactions for middle-market companies in the manufacturing, base materials and business services sectors. Prior to KeyBanc he was a licensed structural engineer for WSP Global and URS Corporation, where he performed building design and construction administration for various industrial and high-rise commercial building projects. Mr. Lakarosky received his M.B.A. from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.

Taylor Richard — Senior Associate

Mr. Richard joined Cyprium Partners from Brown, Gibbons, Lang & Company. As an Associate in the Diversified Industrials Group, Mr. Richard focused on mergers and acquisitions advisory for middle-market companies in the manufacturing, building products, engineered materials, and industrial automation sectors. Mr. Richard received his Specialized Master in Finance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and his B.A. in Economics and Political Science with honors from Western Kentucky University.

Chris Schroer — Associate

Mr. Schroer joined Cyprium Partners from Northcreek Mezzanine. As an Associate at Northcreek, Mr. Schroer was responsible for the underwriting and portfolio management of debt and equity transactions in the lower middle market. Mr. Schroer received his B.A. in Sociology with a Special Concentration in Business Management with honors from Columbia University.

Ted Laufik — Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Laufik joined Cyprium in 2014 and has almost 30 years of experience in the private equity and venture capital industries. He is a senior financial professional and has been responsible for the finance, strategy, investor relations and compliance functions including over 25 years as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Partner for Morgenthaler – a national private equity and venture capital firm. He has helped raise over $3.0 billion of investment capital that provided financing to more than 350 companies. Prior to Morgenthaler, Mr. Laufik was the Chief Financial Officer for a regional real estate development firm. He began his professional career with the international public accounting firm Deloitte, LLP. Mr. Laufik has also consulted with several early stage and middle market companies providing financial and strategic support. Mr. Laufik serves on JumpStart – a nationally recognized economic development organization, Finance and Audit Committee, and is a member of the Cleveland State University College of Business Visiting Committee. He received a B.B.A. degree, with a major in Accounting, and an M.B.A., both from Cleveland State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Lisa Vulic — Controller

Ms. Vulic joined Cyprium Partners from Key Principal Partners (KPP). She joined KPP in 2004. Prior to KPP, she spent five and one-half years in public accounting specializing in taxation. She graduated summa cum laude from Baldwin Wallace College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Ms. Vulic is a Certified Public Accountant.

Karen Heise — Marketing Manager

Ms. Heise joined Cyprium Partners after spending over a decade working in marketing and advertising for clients including Key Corp., Renaissance Hotels, TRW, and Chrysler Corporation as a Senior Account Executive at Bozell Worldwide, Wyse Advertising, and Lintas Campbell-Ewald. Ms. Heise received her BA in Journalism and Advertising from The Ohio State University.

Rebecca Ralston — Executive & Compliance Assistant

Ms. Ralston assists the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Compliance Officer with legal affairs, human resources, training programs, compliance issues and the day to day operations of the Cleveland office. Ms. Ralston graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. While at Marietta, she was a research assistant for the Geosciences Department and a lab instructor for the Geology Department.
