Cyprium Completes Investment in Rottler Manufacturing, Announces Promotion & Team Expansion
Cyprium Partners, a middle-market private equity firm specializing in providing non-controlling capital, is pleased to announce an investment in Rottler Manufacturing. Partnering with two other SBIC funds, Cyprium provided debt and equity to support the recapitalization of Rottler Manufacturing by Oregon-based Bochi Investments. This marks Cyprium’s 17th partnership alongside an independent sponsor.
Founded in 1923, and headquartered in Kent, Washington, Rottler designs and manufactures high-precision engine machining and remanufacturing equipment primarily serving the performance motorsport and high-horsepower diesel markets. Rottler’s machines are regarded as the “Gold Standard” in engine rebuilding machinery, known for precision, durability, simplicity, speed and safety. Andy Rottler, third-generation operator and CEO, will remain an owner of Rottler and continue to be involved in product development. David Bianchi, a longtime employee of Rottler with over 30 years of experience in the industrial OEM sector, has been elevated to the position of President.

“Rottler’s relentless focus on innovation, quality and customer service has translated into a market leading position that it has held for over a century. Demands within the engine remanufacturing market are ever-changing, and we believe the combination of Bochi’s stewardship and Mr. Bianchi’s strategic vision will best position the company to continue meeting those needs for years to come. This transaction reflects our continued focus on investing in critical industries alongside experienced independent sponsors.
We look forward to contributing to Rottler’s next phase of growth.”
