Lee is involved in all aspects of investing on behalf of Cyprium, including sourcing, evaluating and executing new investments and supporting his current portfolio companies. He is also a member of Cyprium’s Investment Committee and manages the New York City office for the firm. Lee has over 30 years of experience investing in middle-market companies based in the US and Canada, including significant experience in the plastics and packaging, building products, industrials, and food and beverage industries.

Prior to joining the firm in 2000, he was a Managing Director and shareholder at Houlihan Lokey in New York where he served on the Investment Banking Operating Committee and managed its national financing practice. Before Houlihan Lokey, Lee was a founding principal at JF Lehman and Company, a private equity firm focused on the aerospace, maritime and defense industries. Early roles included the Leveraged Buyout group of PaineWebber in New York and as a consultant with the firm now known as Accenture.

Lee received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in industrial engineering and management science.

Outside of Cyprium, Lee was a member on the board of a local Montessori school on Long Island for many years, including serving as Treasurer and President. Recently, he has taken an interest in an effort to save abandoned children in Eastern Africa with the formation and operation of orphanages with high quality schools, “Villages of Joy”. Lee enjoys spending time with his family. As a native of the Pacific Northwest, he now enjoys fishing and boating on Eastern Long Island, local league platform tennis and skiing.
